Ella

Arrived August 2026

10/04/2026 Ella is thriving! Once just 77 pounds, and now weighs 103 pounds and is enjoying life in her loving foster home.

With her soft coat and goofy charm, Ella delights everyone with happy spins, morning grumbles, and backyard zoomies. She loves visitors, toys, and being close to her people—especially for a Dane lean or a head-in-your-lap cuddle.

Ella is housebroken, knows sit, down, and shake, and does well loose in a safely managed home. She’s still polishing her household manners and leash skills. Her foster found she prefers a comfortable, dog-proofed space rather than a crate.

She would ideally be an only dog, though a compatible canine companion may be considered with slow introductions. She has been calm around ducks while leashed, but other small-animal relationships will need individual assessment and careful management.

Her treated tail injury is doing well, but stress may cause her to chew it again. Her family will need to monitor it, especially as she settles in.

Ella’s foster family adores her, and frequently comment how fun she is.

Now this affectionate girl needs a forever home with the patience, stability, and love to help her keep blossoming.

08/27/2026 Meet Ella!

Ella is a beautiful, approximately 5-year-old, 77-pound Great Dane mix with a soft coat, a sweet heart, and lots of love to give. She is affectionate, people-oriented, and happiest when she can be close to her favorite person—whether that means leaning in for pets, relaxing nearby, or trying to squeeze into a lap she definitely does not fit in!

Ella is housebroken, crate trained, and trustworthy with freedom in the home. She knows sit, down, and shake, responds well to gentle guidance, and is very food motivated, making continued training fun and rewarding.

She loves running in a big yard, going for walks, playing with toys and stuffies, and relaxing with her people after some exercise. Ella loves being outside so much sometimes she needs a little coaxing to come in. She is pretty good on leash but is still learning impulse control and  may pull when something exciting catches her attention on walks, so she will benefit from a family willing to continue her leash training with patience and consistency.

Ella has been through change and can be anxious in busy or unfamiliar situations. She will thrive with a predictable routine, calm guidance, and people who will give her time to feel safe and secure.

Ella is looking for a home where she can be the only dog. She is most comfortable when she does not have to share her people with another dog and would love to be the queen of her castle.

She also needs a home without small animals, including rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens, or similar pets, as movement and noise can trigger her prey drive.

Ella is a loving, playful, who is ready to be someone’s special companion. If you are looking for a loyal best friend and are willing to give her the stability she deserves, Ella may be your perfect match.
