Duke

04/10/2026 Duke has been moved to a NJ foster home and will begin treatment for heartworm, sadly Duke tested positive for Heartworm but not to worry, he will start treatment soon and then will be ready for adoption! Duke is a lovely boy, so friendly and a cuddle bug. He is being spoiled in his foster home until he starts the injections to kill the heartworms, then will have to go on crate rest. Fortunately, Duke is crate trained and learning to walk nicely on a leash. His first vet visit went well, he made lots of friends at his new vet office. Keep your eye on this one, once ready, Duke will be an amazing addition to any home.

02/12/2026 Duke has been thriving in his foster home and continues to show what a loving, easygoing boy he is. He is affectionate and people-oriented, and he especially enjoys relaxing with his head in your lap or keeping an eye on the world from the front window. Duke has a sweet, laid-back nature and loves attention, making him a joy to have around. While he has shared this time with his foster mate, he could also do well in a home of his own with another dog and/or plenty of people to give him the love and companionship he enjoys.

01/07/2026 Duke is a handsome, gentle boy with a calm, steady presence and a quiet confidence that makes him easy to love. He’s the strong, silent type who prefers to sit back, observe, and take his cues from the world around him, but once he feels secure, he warms up to new people quickly and shows his affectionate side in a calm, easygoing way. Duke would do best in a home that appreciates his laid-back nature and gives him the time and reassurance to settle in. He’d likely thrive with a patient adopter who values a mellow companion and understands that his best qualities shine through once he feels safe and comfortable.

12/2025 Lulu and Duke  recently lost both their owner and their home. After so many changes in a short time, they are looking for a stable, loving family who can offer them security, structure, and plenty of attention.
