Gatsby

09/26/2026 Gatsby is patiently waiting for a furever home where he can shower his human(s) with love. In addition to being a cuddle bug, he enjoys playing with his toys and showing them off by carrying them around in his mouth. Gatsby is great with other dogs, knows all of his commands, walks well on a leash, and travels well in a car. He also gets excited to meet new people, but needs some work showing that excitement without jumping up to greet them. He is crate and house trained and will do best in a house that is in a quieter area or has fewer windows with views of foot traffic and activity to bark at. Gatsby is a happy, loving boy and will make someone a great companion.

06/28/2026 Gatsby is in his foster home after completing his training. This tall sweet boy has so much love to give, you can feel him melt into you when he rests his head on you. He loves his foster mom and her teenage children. He does great with the dog medium sized dogs in his foster home. He is 100% potty trained and crate trained. He is silly and goofy, especially when playing with toys, though equally shares a love for napping. Despite his goofiness he is extremely smart and very much wants to please. He knows sit, paw, down and come. He heels as he walks on leash and doesn’t pull even when seeing people, dogs or other animals. He is a really great dog. Gatsby has been overlooked for too long, he is a really wonderful boy and deserves a loving forever home. He is such a love!

02/08/2026 Gatsby is a 3 year old black neutered and pexied male who was surrendered because his owner is being deployed overseas. Gatsby just arrived to MAGDRL and we will be learning more about him. So far he is a sweet boy who meets strangers well, seems to be a bit “talky” but not in a mean way and he has a history of living with both large and medium dogs and cats. More info to come on this fun loving guy!
