Duke is a 2½-year-old Great Dane mix in need of a new home. His current owner has been working since early 2024 to rehome him after conflicts developed between him and two resident Great Danes. Due to escalating fights, Duke now lives separately and requires a home without large dogs. He has done well with cats and with medium-sized dogs.

House trained and not destructive
Gentle on leash
Good with cats and small/medium dogs
Loves toys, bones, and jelly donuts
Friendly and affectionate with people of all ages
Has not been crated in current home, but previously crate trained
Behavioral Notes:
Duke lived peacefully with two Great Danes for over a year before conflicts began as the younger dog matured. The dogs can no longer safely coexist. His owner believes he would thrive as an only dog or with small to medium sized canine companions, and with cats.
Duke is currently being cared for by his owner in Princeton, WV. She is willing to transport him a significant distance to a suitable home.
