Alpha

09/13/2029 Alpha, affectionately known as “Alphie” came to MAGDRL when his owners had no time for him and felt he deserved better. He was fostered at first in NY and it was apparent he needed some training and work on his dominant behavior. So he went for boarding and training at Hanlon’s K-9 in Toms River NJ and they spent 2 months working with him and socializing him until they felt he was ready for his forever home. His adopters saw him on the website and applied to adopt him, knowing they would not be ready for him until after Labor Day. We could not guarantee he would still be available then, but they were willing to take a chance and perhaps look for someone else if he was adopted before he was ready. But what is meant to be will be and sure enough, when they were ready to adopt, Alphie was ready to go home to a forever home. They went several times to Hanlon’s to work with him and put him thru his paces. He did great with them. So Alphie is now home with a family who is committed to him and will continue the work started at Hanlon’s. Have a great life Alphie!

06/20/2026 Just arrived Alpha is a very big beautiful black Dane with natural ears. He was surrendered because his owners had no time to give him the attention he deserves. He just arrived and we are getting to know him. He also needs to be neutered and gastropexied. Stay tuned for more info on this big guy!
