Hansel is still waiting. 💔 We honestly can’t understand how.

At 6 years old, Hansel has all the best parts of dog ownership figured out. He’s past the puppy chaos, fully trained, incredibly gentle, and just wants someone to love.
This handsome Great Dane may be shy when you first meet him, but give him a little time and you’ll discover the sweetest, most loyal companion. Once Hansel bonds with his person, he becomes their shadow—quietly following them from room to room, always wanting to be nearby.

He loves walks (hello, happy feet at the back door). He loves bath time (seriously, they’re basically spa days to him). He has wonderful manners and a calm, easygoing personality that makes him a joy to live with.

What Hansel does need is space. As a giant breed, he’s looking for a home where he can stretch those long legs and enjoy life comfortably. Apartments and condos aren’t the right fit for this big guy.
Every day we see incredible dogs find their families, and every day we wonder when it will finally be Hansel’s turn.
Somewhere out there is a person looking for a loyal best friend. A dog who will love them quietly, faithfully, and completely. We think that person might be looking for Hansel—they just don’t know it yet.

Please help us find his family by sharing this post. Let’s get this gentle giant the happy ending he deserves.

02/24/2026 Meet Hansel 🖤

Hansel is a 5-year-old male Great Dane with the kind of quiet presence that fills a room without ever demanding attention. He’s gentle. He’s shy. He’s observant. And once he decides you’re his person? He’s your shadow for life.

Hansel bonds deeply. He isn’t the life-of-the-party dog — he’s the loyal, steady companion who will quietly follow you from room to room, rest his big head beside you, and make you feel completely chosen.
Because of his size (and those long, majestic legs!), Hansel needs room to stretch and romp. He is not suited for apartments or condos. A home with space — ideally a yard — is what will allow him to truly thrive.

The good news?
He’s incredibly well-trained.
He loves walks.
And baths? Absolute spa days in his book. 🛁
Hansel is the definition of a gentle giant — calm, respectful, and deeply devoted once he feels safe.

If you have the space, the patience, and the heart for a loyal companion who will give you quiet, steady love every single day, Hansel may be your boy.
