Huxley

Huxley is an 18-month-old Black Mantle Great Dane, weighing in at approximately 150 lbs with that classic gentle giant look. He is a fun-loving, happy-go-lucky guy who just loves attention and being with his people.
Energetic as a young Dane, Huxley enjoys his playtime — with toys, outdoors, and with his human companions by his side. He also knows how to settle in and relax, and is house-trained and crate-trained, which makes everyday living much easier.

Training wise, Huxley is a very good listener. He already knows commands like sit, stay, come, and down. On walks, he shows interest in squirrels (who wouldn’t!) but when you cue him: he stays, walks well on leash, and responds like the gentleman he is.

He loves being outside — but he doesn’t just want to hang alone. He’d be happiest in a home where you join him for the fun. He’s also demonstrated that he gets along with other dogs, and he would especially enjoy having another dog to play with — though if you don’t have one already, a home committed to his energy and companionship will do just fine.
