Meet Darcey — A Sweet Great Dane Mix Ready to Find Her Forever Home

Say hello to Darcey, a beautiful 1.5 year old Great Dane–Boxer mix with a heart full of love and a gentle, affectionate spirit. At about 90 pounds, Darcey may be a bit smaller than a typical Dane, but she’s every bit the “gentle giant” in personality. She adores people, loves to lean in for hugs, and will happily cover you in kisses if you let her.

Darcey spent several months living outdoors before coming into MAGDRL’s care, and she’s now enjoying the comforts of a warm, loving foster home. She’s learning what it means to be an indoor dog — soft beds, cozy naps, and plenty of cuddles! She is crate-trained, friendly with other dogs, and travels well. She’s curious, gentle, and eager to please, making her a wonderful companion for anyone ready to give her the love and structure she’s been missing.

Darcey is available for adoption now. She’s currently working on reinforcing her indoor manners, so an experienced dog owner can absolutely adopt her right away and continue that training at home. Or, if you’d prefer to let her finish polishing her “indoor skills,” you can wait just a few weeks until she’s an expert at family life. Either way, you’ll be gaining a loyal, affectionate, and loving companion who simply wants to be part of your world.

Darcey has not yet been spayed, so any adopter will be contractually required to have her spayed once her vet determines she’s ready — or you can choose to wait until we complete that procedure before bringing her home.
