Meet Henry!

Henry is one of the sweetest Great Danes you’ll ever meet — a gentle giant who simply wants love and companionship. While we don’t believe Henry was ever mistreated, it’s clear that he didn’t have much affection in his past. Since coming to MAGDRL, he’s been blossoming into a loyal, loving boy who’s learning what it means to be part of a family.

Henry is a bit shy at first and still getting used to meeting new people and dogs. On walks, he tends to keep to himself, and he may take a little time to warm up to visitors — but once he trusts you, his affection shines through. He’s calm and polite around other dogs, showing no signs of aggression or anxiety. At the vet, he’s incredibly well-behaved, allowing exams without a fuss or flinch.

At home, Henry enjoys the simple things in life — relaxing on the front porch, watching the world go by, and soaking up quiet moments with his person. He’s crate trained, knows a few basic commands, and is very food-motivated (especially when hot dogs are involved — though he’s clever enough to find any hidden pills!).

Henry is looking for a patient, loving family who will give him the time and encouragement he needs to continue building confidence. In return, you’ll gain a gentle, loyal companion with the sweetest heart.

Henry turns 4 in November.
