Theodora 

Dora has found her perfect family with Terry and Bruce! Repeat MAGDRL adopters, they were ready to rescue again after their adoptee Bella passed away. Their home will be once again filled with the big heart (and big slobber) of a rescued Dane! There is no doubt that Terry, Bruce and Dora will cherish each other forever!

Meet Theodora (her friends call her “Dora”)! She embodies all the typical Great Dane traits:
Sticks to your side like Velcro: check!
Love naps more than anything: check!
Big and goofy: check!
Loyal and loving: check!
Has 60 seconds of zoomies per day: check!

If you are looking for a sweet young lady who just wants to be close to you, Dora is your gal! At about 3 years old, she is still young and spry but past all those crazy puppy antics. She is mellow, walks great on a leash, gets along with all people and dogs she meets and is a true ambassador for her breed. She knows all her basic commands – sit, down, wait (stay) and (come) here. She is gentle when taking treats, and wouldn’t dream of jumping up on people or furniture. In the home, she might sound a bark or two when someone new arrives but isn’t very vocal. She is crate trained but totally trustworthy in the house (well… if you had some tasty treats on the counter that she could reach she might help herself. So we’ll say she’s 90% trustworthy.) She isn’t bothered by the vacuum, thunder or loud noises, and is calm and content when out in large groups/noisy environments. She rides great in the car and waits very patiently to be served her pup cup at the local coffee shop. 

She would do great in a home with kids small to large, or other dogs. She currently lives with 2 large male bloodhounds and gets along great with them. She’s interested in playing for about two minutes, then she’s ready to go back inside and nap or get some pets from her people.
