Toni Trembly

Location: New Jersey

Rescue Experience: Since Joining MAGDRL in 2006, Toni has fostered over 20 Danes, many which were Dane's in Need with special requirements & medical needs. Toni has also been active performing phone interviews, holding the Match Maker position & Tag Administrator as well as being Central NJ's Meet & Greet Co-Coordinator. She also does transports, home evaluations, attends Meet & Greets and assists with Dog Evaluations and  dog testing. Toni is currently the Event and Fundraising Coordinator for the NY Chapter where she is using her out of the box thinking to get NY up and running with their fundraising. Toni stepped up last year and took fundraising on by the horns. She looked outside the regular run of the mill venues and brought in new and invigorating ideas to NJ. Toni pursued a Barnes and Noble's Holiday event where MAGDRL performed gift wrapping during the holiday season. With a M&G table along with a few Danes, this event alone drew in over $1900.00 for MAGDRL. She has opened the door for other Chapters throughout MAGDRL to perform the same services during the holiday season, hence enabling MAGDRL to make thousands of dollars during this normally slow donation period. Toni ran the Super Pet Expo in February of 2008 where NJ made over $1400.00 and drew in so many volunteers to help out. She was also instrumental in getting the NJ Chapter into Petco's throughout the state. This enables MAGDRL to receive many donations through their charitable events, such as the Holiday Giving Tree.  MAGDRL is also now signed up for food and treat donations through Petco, where we are allowed to visit the warehouse and take any food or treat items they have available, another great perk for our MAGDRL Foster homes! She is also in the process of researching grants and toy donations to help reduce costs for all our foster homes as well. This year Toni is handling Broadway Barks in NY, which has always been a large event with wonderful PR for MAGDRL. She is hoping for a wonderful turn out and looks forward to bringing the NY Chapter fundraising up to a new high so more and more Danes can be helped.

Special Skills: Toni's ability to look outside the norm for fundraising efforts has been a win win for her and the Danes of MAGDRL. Toni is able to devote her attention to researching fundraising options, new venues and pursuing items that will work for all of MAGDRL. Taking on this position will not be over extending herself, but will be something she passionately looks forward to doing 150%. Toni is smart, savvy and devoted to the Danes. Her countless fosters over the years has allowed her to see firsthand how limited funds in, limits our ability to provide the very best for our MAGDRL Danes and has motivated her beyond belief making this position extremely appealing to her. This dedication is what drove her through last year with her many events & smart new approaches in getting donations and is what each chapter can look forward to with Toni in the role in Fundraising and Grants on the Board of Directors.

Motto: Sooner or later we all discover that the important moments in life are not the advertised ones, not the birthdays, the graduations, the weddings, not the great goals achieved.  The real milestones are less prepossessing.  They come to the door of memory  unannounced, stray dogs that amble in, sniff around a bit and simply never leave. Our lives are measured by these.......

Vision for MAGDRL: Toni would like to work towards MAGDRL being one giant team, and if  through our fundraising efforts we become one, MAGDRL can only prosper. She would like to pursue options to streamline event ideas, so all chapters can benefit through the advice and knowledge of other chapters who have success in certain venues. If we share ideas, we allow other chapters the ability to do the same, succeed... and in the end the Danes win!
