Rescue Experience: My first involvement with rescue was when we rescued our first Dane, Ricky in 2001c. Then in March of 2005, we adopted our second Dane Freddy, and I began volunteering again with MAGDRL. Shortly thereafter, I became a Co-Coordinator for Northern Virginia. In addition to being a Match Maker and the Home Check Coordinator, I also work to bring Danes into the rescue and place them into foster homes. I myself, foster failed in January 2006 after fostering 2 puppy siblings which now brings my crew to 5! I currently run the eBay Store and Café Press MAGDRL Mall. I have designed many projects for MAGDRL events and merchandise and hope to design more.

Special Skills: I am an artist and am very lucky to have designed many projects for the rescue. I have a degree in Journalism and Advertising and have used these skills often as a coordinator. I have extensive computer skills and a husband that can help me create any computer program we need.

Motto: Animals can’t speak for themselves, so we have to be their advocates and stand up for them. I feel that I’m here to do that for our Danes and help them find their forever homes!

Vision for MAGDRL: My vision is to continue to move the rescue forward and to use technology to help us do that. As the Volunteer representative on the Board, I would like to create a new system for keeping track of the volunteers, ID cards and dues. This will allow the Treasurer and the President to work on more immediate tasks and have all volunteer records at their fingertips.
