Rescue Experience: We adopted our first Dane from MAGDRL in 2004 and I started volunteering. In 2005, we foster-failed with our second Dane. At first, I helped out at various events and fundraisers and then started hosting a regular M&G in Annapolis. That lasted for 3 years, when I took over as the newsletter editor and the publicity coordinator for MD/DC. I still do both of those things, as well as spearhead MAGDRL’s social network on Facebook, Twitter, email newsletter, etc. Along with this, I do a variety of other things for MAGDRL – home and dog checks, transports, support at M&Gs and other fundraisers, the Bull Roast and Basket BINGO, etc. For two years, I ran an online auction for MAGDRL, and I was instrumental in getting a free video produced to showcase MAGDRL’s work.

Special Skills: All of my professional life I’ve worked with people, and I have experience in customer service and team-building. I’m organized and able to handle multiple projects at a time. I especially love working on big events and helping to pull everything together! My experience in all these areas enables me to work well with people from diverse backgrounds, and with differing viewpoints.

Vision for MAGDRL: Bigger, better things for the Danes through teamwork and sharing of resources and ideas throughout the organization; to make MAGDRL a nationally known and recognized organization on a prominent level.
