Rescue Experience: I have been a member of MAGDRL since 2003. Someone once told me if you love a breed you have to get involved in rescue... I have always loved Great Danes so I discovered MAGDRL at the Super Pet Expo and have been an active volunteer ever since. I started out attending Meet & Greets, doing home and dog evaluations, helping out at events and soon I became the NJ Matchmaker, the Northern NJ Meet & Greet Coordinator, and then the NJ Events Coordinator. I organized/scheduled many successful events for NJ including adoption days, various M&G’s, Dog Walks, Yard Sales, and Candlelight Bowling for Danes which included a small Tricky Tray. I have also coordinated many fundraising programs that can be done organization wide including Terracycle Bottle Brigade, Cookie Wrapper Brigade, Drink Pouch Brigade, Verizon Velocity Program for purchasing Verizon products, Phones for Good for cell phone purchases, Magazine Fundraiser which gives 40% to MAGDRL, along with various other affiliate programs where MAGDRL receives a portion of the sales. More recently I joined MAGDRL with the TD Bank Affinity Program which resulted in a check for $2,738! This year’s check promises to be even higher as this program builds as time goes on being more profitable for MAGDRL.

My biggest accomplishment for MAGDRL has been the Annual Tricky Trays that I coordinate. When we started out with our first Tricky Tray in 2006 we raised $5,051, this event has continued to gain popularity over the years. In 2008 we raised $14,211, in 2009 - $18,194 and in 2010 - $20,463!!! I can happily say our profits have increased every year making the NJ Tricky Tray the most successful fundraiser in the history of MAGDRL raising over $57,000 for our danes!!! We are looking forward to the results of 2011 which is scheduled for October 6, 2011.

My passion is helping MAGDRL raise the much needed funds and in my tenure of being Event Coordinator I have organized over 80 events totaling over $75,000.00 for our danes! This in combination with my Fundraising/Grant Writing director position I am able to enroll MAGRL in many different Giving Campaigns all benefiting our wonderful organization

Special Skills: I am an executive assistant with great organizational skills. Before I became an assistant I ran a Dunkin Donuts which helped me to build my people skills. I take pride in everything I do whether it is organizing a corporate function or setting up our Meet & Greet table for an event. I love being at events, spreading the word about our fantastic organization and helping as many Danes as we can.

Vision for MAGDRL:To grow as an organization and help as many Danes as we can. I want to find more events that we can participate in where we can reach a larger audience and raise awareness and funds for MAGDRL. I want to find more fundraising opportunities that we can do MAGDRL wide, that every chapter can participate in. Because working together to help the danes is what we do best!!!
